DRAGONSMEADE KALAHARI | 2001 Bay Mare

We were fortunate to be able to purchase Kalahari from Dragonsmeade Farm at the Copper Dragon II Sale in spring of 2010. Cedar Creek Scalawag and JW Southern Charm’s bloodlines are very rare to find these days, so we are pleased to have Lucy as a broodmare at Ridgewood. She is a big, kind and beautiful mare and has found her forever home in Colorado.

Lucy delivered a beautiful chestnut colt in 2011 by World Champion Dragonsmeade Icon, RWF Iconic, who is doing very well. Lucy safely delivered a chestnut colt by ZZ Top in 2016. We named him RWF Timeless.

For 2017, Lucy was leased to Hollywood Morgans and produced a lovely filly by Cedar Creek Flambeau in 2018, named Hollywood Hedy Lamarr.

We’ve decided to breed Kalahari to Saralin Seabourn this year and are already thinking of names for this very special foal.
